RFIC 2013 Updates
An Invitation from the RFIC 2013 General Chair
On behalf of the RFIC Steering and Technical Program Committees, it is my pleasure to invite you to attend the 2013 IEEE RFIC Symposium, which will be held in Seattle, WA from June 2-4, 2013 at the Washington State Convention Center. In conjunction with the IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium, the RFIC Symposium opens the 2013 Microwave Week, the largest world-wide RF/Microwave meeting of the year.
The RFIC Symposium is one of the premier technical conferences for RF design, featuring presentations, workshops, and tutorials by recognized experts from both industry and academia and is an exceptional venue to learn about the latest advances in the field and to discuss key related topics. The symposium will start off with a full-day of workshops on a broad array of topics, followed by a Plenary Session, and capped off with an evening reception. The technical program will include two days of regular presentations, two lunch-time panel sessions where current controversial RFIC topics will be debated, and an Interactive Forum poster session which will provide an opportunity for on-on-one discussion with paper authors. With the rich technical content and forums for discourse on issues critical to the future of RF IC design, our conference will provide attendees with the latest developments for integrated radio circuits.
In addition to the outstanding technical program we have planned, there are many world-class attractions in the immediate area around the Washington State Convention Center that are sure to be of interest. Located on the eastern shore of Puget Sound, Seattle is a beautiful city boasting numerous activities for visitors: take a ride to the top of the city’s iconic Space Needle, watch flying fish and sample the local bounty at the renowned Pike Place Market, or visit one of the most impressive collections of vintage aircraft at the Boeing Museum of Flight. For the outdoor enthusiast, several scenic hiking trails can be found within an hour’s drive of the downtown area, and further afield, there is the Olympic Peninsula, home to some of the world’s most impressive temperate rainforests.
My sincere hope is that you will join us “Seattleites” for the week, enjoy our lovely city, catch up with friends and colleagues in the RFIC community over a cup of coffee, while staying abreast of the latest developments in RF integrated circuits, systems, and devices. I look forward to seeing you all in Seattle for the 2013 meeting of the RFIC Symposium!
